In the article Professional Production is looking back on the introduction of the TED at IBC and Cinec in Munchen both taking place in September 2019.

The TED (Tango Electronic Drive) for the Tango Pelicae Kit was first introduced at IBC in Amsterdam. The TED can be controlled manually or can be programmed upfront by the cameraman. The end stops ensure a smooth shots.

Endstops ensure smooth shots.  In future a time-lapse function will be offered. A connection for a foot pedal or an external joystick is available. The Dynastick Elektonik operates the Tango via a cable, but can optionally be equipped with a remote control. Unlike known camera sliders, the self-made rack, which is available for all available tango-rail lengths, operates as a high precision system. As promised by Casu, existing tango systems can be retrofitted.

About the TED

Developed by Dutch owner Eric Steenvoorden in his Prosup development center, TED can be retrofitted on the existing Tango Slider System, which offers smooth and stable shots due to the special wheels.

TED is equipped with an electrical drive, which allows cameramen to make smooth captures, pre-set positions, time laps and use the Tango remotely by use of a hand control.

TED will be shown at IBC – the International Broadcast Convention show at the RAI in Amsterdam from Sept. 14 to 18, 2018.
